One month later and only 1000km more? There must be a reason for it, and yes there's one!
At the moment I'm staying in the sumptuously colonial mountain village San Cristobal de las Casas. The many small cafe's, the colorful houses, the bustling "Zocalo" (city park) and the pleasant climate are just a few reason to stay some nights more. But also the way to get here has many reason to slow down the pace a bit. After leaving the city of Oaxaca, I followed the pacific coastline where you can find great campingspots every few kilometers directly on the beach. And so, the cycling days got a little shorter.
Now only 2 days of cycling are left to finally reach the border to Guatemala, and after almost 6 months in Mexico it will be definitely time to move forward. In the next days many kilometres will fall, and if everything works out, the next newsletter will already come from El Salvador!
